 ASTM/SEI Certification – Official safety certification of equestrian safety helmets in the United States.  Troxel manufactures only ASTM/SEI certified helmets. The Safety Equipment Institute (SEI) is an independent, accredited organization that certifies the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards are met. The ASTM F-1163 standard for equestrian head gear has been revised numerous times since its initial publication in 1988.  Each revision reflects ASTM's technical committee's ongoing effort to clarify, correct or improve the standard and provide consistency in testing.  A helmet which has been ASTM-certified to an earlier edition (e.g., ASTM F1163-01) remains certified even though newer models are always certified to the most recent edition.

GPS III™ Fit System - The ultimate in “quick-fit” and “micro-adjustment.”  Building upon the fit improvement of the GPS II, riders can squeeze the sides of the GPS III for a more precise fit.

 GPS II™ Dial Fit System - The GPS II™ adds “quick-fit” to the original GPS™ system. The soft-touch dial permits quick and precise helmet adjustment.

 Soft Tip™ - The structural plastic used in Troxel’s visor is softer and more flexible than traditional visors. This system has been engineered to reduce the possible occurrence of cuts or scrapes in the event of a fall. 

 Flip-Fold™ Fit System* - The Flip-Fold™ Fit System* provides adjustment to the helmets length and width to accommodate different head shapes. Adjustment is made by folding over the integrated tabs. Flip-Fold™ Fit Systems are removable and washable. Patent: * #6,085,357

 Butterfly™ Comfort Fit - Butterfly™ crown padding introduces a whole new level of head comfort in a Troxel helmet. The pad is lined with abrasion resistant, moisture wicking DRi-LEX® material.

 Air-Channel™ Headliner - Air channels in the headliner allow more airflow to keep the rider’s head cooler and dryer. Abrasion resistant DRi-LEX® materials assist in the wicking away and evaporating of moisture. Air-Channel™ Headliners are removable and washable.
